Terms of Service

The agreement covering the Rowbot extension and hosted service — accounts, acceptable use, your data, and what each side promises.

Effective July 26, 2026

1. The agreement

These terms govern use of the Rowbot browser extension and the hosted service at userowbot.com (together, the Service), operated by Rowbot (we, us). By creating a workspace, signing in, or using the Service you agree to these terms.

Rowbot is sold to organizations. Where you use the Service under a workspace your employer or another organization administers, that organization is our customer, its agreement with us governs where it conflicts with these terms, and your access is subject to its administrators' controls.

2. The service

Rowbot is a workplace automation tool: it records browser tasks and runs them for you across the websites you allow, on your schedule, with an audit trail of what it did. The Service includes the extension, the web dashboard, and the hosted backend that stores your automations, settings, and logs.

We change the Service over time — features ship, improve, and are occasionally retired. Material reductions in what a paid plan includes will be notified to workspace administrators in advance.

3. Accounts and seats

Access is per seat. A seat belongs to one named person and may not be shared; an administrator can grant, reassign, and revoke seats for their workspace at any time.

You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in. Keep your account credentials with your identity provider secure, and tell your administrator or us promptly if you believe your account is compromised.

4. Acceptable use

Use Rowbot only on sites and accounts you are entitled to use, for work your organization permits. You are responsible for ensuring the automations you create comply with the terms of the websites they act on and with the laws that apply to you.

Do not use the Service to break the law, to access systems you are not authorized to access, to collect personal data you have no right to collect, to send spam, or to probe, overload, or disrupt anyone's infrastructure — including ours.

We may suspend a seat, an automation, or a workspace that we reasonably believe is violating these terms or harming the Service or others, and will tell the workspace administrator when we do.

5. Your content and data

Your automations, rules, settings, logs, and the page content the Service processes to run your tasks remain yours (or your organization's). You grant us the rights needed to operate the Service — to store, process, and transmit that content in order to run your automations, show your audit trail, and keep your workspace working. We claim no other rights in it.

How we collect, use, retain, and protect data is described in the Privacy Policy at userowbot.com/privacy, which is part of these terms. In short: your data is not sold and is not used to train AI models.

6. Human oversight

Rowbot is built so that a person stays in the loop: actions that change real data can be set to wait for approval, and every run is logged. You (and your organization) are responsible for reviewing what your automations do and for the decisions made on the basis of their output. The Service automates your routine; it does not take over your judgment.

7. Third-party sites and services

Automations act on third-party websites you choose. Those sites are not ours: their availability, their terms, and changes they make to their pages are outside our control, and an automation can fail or need re-teaching when a site changes. Model providers used to decide an automation's next step are processors acting on our instructions, as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Plans, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed per seat on the schedule agreed at purchase. Except where an order form or a mandatory law says otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started.

There is no lock-in: an administrator can cancel at any time, and the workspace stays available until the end of the paid period. After that we retain workspace data for a short wind-down window so you can export it, then delete it in the ordinary course.

9. Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service available and useful, but it is provided on an as-is and as-available basis: we do not promise uninterrupted operation, and scheduled automations require a running browser session to execute. Support commitments, where they apply, come from your plan or order form.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent the law allows: the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data; and our total liability for all claims arising out of the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the amounts paid for the Service in that period.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time; an administrator may close a workspace at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for material breach of these terms that is not cured promptly after notice, or immediately where the breach threatens the Service or others. Sections about your content, disclaimers, liability, and disputes survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify workspace administrators before the changes take effect. Continued use after that notice is acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through userowbot.com/contact, and we will route them to the right person on our team.
